The local tubing outfitters offer transportation to/from the home if a full tubing trip if desired, or you can walk around 250 steps to Mager's Crossing, our favorite public access point on the Frio River where you can hang out in the river without doing a full tubing trip. Mager’s Crossing is a wet road crossing and it is normal for there to be a few inches of water over the road year-round. If you are not comfortable driving through the water, take CR 350/Old Leakey Road from Hwy 83 (not from 1050) when driving to the Moonshine or Mager’s Crossing. In the Hill Country, cell phone service, GPS, and phone data are very limited, especially if you do not have AT&T or Verizon. We have floating stairs, balconies, a pool, a firepit, and no baby-proofing items, which makes this home not a good fit for babies and toddlers.
